Project: To create a unique one-of-a-kind donor recognition that speaks to the Academy’s scientific bent. In addition it had to be modern and easily to update.

Solution: Our approach was to create a design that represented a large and complex molecule with both positive and negative space attributes. All the pieces are set in place magnetically so moving, removing and adding plaques is totally hassle free. Within the plaques we incorporated category plaques and scientific icon plaques, further enhancing the scientific persona of the wall and the usability of the wall for thanking donors.

For materials we used all stainless steel for the plaques and the logo.  We chose this material because it set up beautifully against the rich wood background. In addition stainless steel is impervious to any wear — it will last and look in a hundred years just as the day it was installed.
