Project: Create a presentation honoring a lost fire fighter from 9/11 to compliment an existing bronze statue.
Solution: We worked closely with our client to make sure the honor of the add-on matched the honor due the statue and the lost fire fighter. A beautiful cast bronze book was created that included the text explaining the loss and the person. This cast book was then mounted on an imported granite pedestal and set in the ground as the introduction to the entire presentation.
Our choice of bronze and granite was driven by the need to match the sculpture and the fact that these two materials would withstand the elements outdoors. The installation sits at one of the main walkways into the hospital and has proven to be a remarkably respectful addition to our clients grounds.
